As we welcome 2025, we’re looking ahead to an exciting year of live music, spoken word, and unforgettable performances in Nantwich. The Nantwich Roots Festival, the sibling festival to the Words & Music Festival and organised by the same team, has always been about bringing together incredible artists in intimate venues, and this year promises to be no different.

First up, we’re thrilled to confirm that Huey Morgan, the charismatic frontman of Fun Lovin’ Criminals, will be taking to the stage at Nantwich Civic Hall on Sunday, May 18. With his signature blend of rock, hip-hop, and funk, Huey’s set is sure to bring an electric energy to the festival.

Another highlight is the return of Ferocious Dog on Friday, May 16. Their fusion of folk, punk, and rock has made them a festival favourite, and their high-energy performance is not to be missed. Expect powerful storytelling, raucous instrumentals, and anthems that will have the crowd singing along.

Folk-rock legends Lindisfarne are also joining us on Saturday, May 17, bringing their timeless hits and unforgettable melodies to Nantwich Civic Hall. Their music has been the soundtrack to generations, and we can’t wait to welcome them to the festival.

For fans of The Beatles, The Threetles will be performing at St Mary’s Church on Wednesday, May 14. Their faithful renditions of Beatles classics will transport you back to the golden age of pop music in a truly atmospheric setting.

In addition to our May lineup, we’re delighted to announce that Rick Buckler, drummer of The Jam, will be appearing at Nantwich Town Football Club on Thursday, February 6. Originally scheduled as part of the October Words & Music Festival, this rescheduled event will offer fans a chance to hear Rick’s incredible stories from his time with one of the most influential bands in British music history.
