We’re delighted that from 7.30pm some very special local performers from the long-standing, informal Wednesday evening music session will be playing in the Wickstead Arms, just off the main square, in a free event.

Alan Casey, Neil Brookes and Ellis Williams were founders of the first ever Crewe and Nantwich Folk Festival back in 1977.
Tonight they help to launch the all new one by playing a heady mix of traditional, mainly English dance tunes and songs to blend well with splendid beers and a friendly first night atmosphere.

Come and enjoy – if you have a song, a tune or any item of any sort you want to share, even better – but if not just come down, they’re gonna party like it’s 1799!
